Instructional Technology Manager
The Instructional Technology Manager oversees student data systems and ensures that data and technology are effectively used to inform instructional planning, differentiation, and decision‑making, in conjunction with the Senior Data, Analytics, and Compliance Manager. The Instructional Technology Manager is also responsible for providing data analysis tools and training to teachers and school leaders. The Instructional Technology Manager reports to the Chief Academic Officer or designee.
This job description is meant to provide structure to the responsibilities and accountability of this position. There may be additional responsibilities that are undertaken or that are assigned as the needs of students and or the school arise.
This is a 12‑month position, which is exempt and therefore not eligible for overtime pay under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Responsibilities Technology in the Classrooms- In collaboration with the Academic Leadership Team, support the development and implementation of a vision for how technology enhances instructional quality, student engagement, and academic outcomes.
- Lead campus‑level professional learning focused on how teachers use technology and data systems to strengthen instructional planning, assessment, and differentiation.
- Support teachers one‑on‑one in using technology and data to improve instructional practice, including planning, assessment, and targeted student supports.
- Co‑lead monthly training for our new teachers as part of the New Teacher Cohort.
- Meet with teachers to analyze data, formulate instructional questions, interpret findings, and apply insights to instructional planning, grouping, and intervention decisions.
- Support the responsible integration of emerging technologies, including AI‑enabled tools, to enhance instructional planning, data analysis, and teacher efficiency, in alignment with school priorities and data privacy expectations.
- Support the evaluation, selection, and management of student technology systems to ensure alignment with instructional priorities, assessment practice, and teacher workflows, including but not limited to:
Clever, Jump Rope, MAP, Circle, Educator’s Handbook, Panorama, Parent Square, Skills Block, Bridges, mCLASS, Common Lit, Pear, and TCI. - Support the Technology Services Manager, as needed, to roll out technology hardware to students and staff.
- Support school leadership teams in articulating their school’s technology needs, and work across teams to ensure the needs are met.
- Troubleshoot support requests with our gradebook and Student Information System on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate with the school leadership teams to support and monitor our implementation of assessments for the schools.
- Create instructional‑facing guides and resources that help teachers apply technology and data insights to classroom practice.
- Implement tools and systems to monitor student use to ensure students are accessing safe and approved websites and tools.
- Support and coordinate with the Academic Leadership Team to ensure our technology systems, implementation, and training align with the vision for professional learning designed by the Academic Leadership Team.
- Coordinate with the Family Engagement Coordinator to develop family technology training opportunities and assist with technology needs at family events.
- Resolve support requests via our universal ticketing system, FMX.
- Generate user accounts and credentials for students and permanent and temporary staff members for our instructional systems.
- Complete year‑round system updates to reflect student and staff turnover.
- Provide login support for teachers, staff, and students for various systems.
- Provide general support for users as needed.
- In collaboration with the Senior Data, Analytics, and Compliance Manager, design and generate student report cards and student transcripts in ways that clearly communicate academic progress and instructional priorities to educators and families.
