Job Title:AWS Solutions Architect (Senior)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions, with a deep understanding of AWS services, data engineering practices, and cloud migrations. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures, particularly focused on data platforms, ETL processes, and data lake environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Architecture Design & Implementation: Design, develop, and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud-based solutions on AWS.
AWS Services Expertise: Deep experience with AWS cloud-native services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda , and AWS Parameter Store .
Data Migration & ETL Solutions: Lead cloud data migration initiatives, especially Snowflake migrations, ensuring smooth transitions from on-premise environments to the cloud.
Snowflake Expertise: Strong knowledge of Snowflake data platform , including Snowflake tasks, streams , and other Snowflake utilities for ETL development and automation.
Data Lake Architecture: Design and implement Data Lake environments and integrate with cloud services like AWS S3 , ensuring optimal data flow and accessibility.
Automation & Scheduling:
Experience with automation and orchestration tools like Autosys for ETL job scheduling and data pipeline management.Data Integration & Transformation: Work with a variety of data integration tools (e.g.,
Talend, Data Stage ) to support ETL pipelines.Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to ensure alignment on project goals. Provide clear documentation for architecture, processes, and designs.
Skills & Qualifications
Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with AWS cloud services (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
SQL Development: Strong skills in T-SQL , including experience with writing stored procedures ,
views , and functions for large-scale data platforms.ETL Development: Strong hands-on experience with ETL pipelines, especially in Snowflake and other cloud-native tools.
Experience with
Snowflake tasks/streams and migration projects.Data Lake Design: Experience in building and managing Data Lake environments, particularly in the context of AWS cloud solutions.
Automation: Knowledge of job scheduling and automation tools like Autosys .
Migration Projects: Proven track record of managing or executing cloud migration projects, particularly for large-scale data platforms (e.g.,
Snowflake migration ).Analytical Tools: Proficiency with data analytical tools like DBeaver ,
Athena ,
Snowflake Console , and other similar utilities.Banking & Financial Knowledge: Experience or exposure to retail and commercial banking products ,
investments , and trading is a strong plus.
Experience with
Talend ,
Data Stage , or similar ETL and data integration platforms.Strong experience in working with Data Lake architecture on cloud platforms.
Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices within cloud environments.
Certification in AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional level) is preferred.
Exposure to Dev Ops practices and tools within AWS ecosystems.
