Carrier mail delivery

Cummings Contract Delivery Services Corp is a highway contractor that delivers local mail for the United States Postal Service (local box to box). This is a part‑time position located at the Tybee Island, GA Post Office. The work schedule is Monday through Saturday, 20 to 27 hours per week, with one to two days off when coverage is available. If coverage is not available you will work all six days per week.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour for the first 30 working days or until the assessed route time is met; thereafter the pay increases to $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include sorting and delivering mail within the assigned route, operating company vehicles, and ensuring accurate weight limits (up to 70 lbs) and safety compliance.

• United States citizenship or residency of at least five years with authorization to work.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license, no more than two years of age; no permit.
• Clean 7‑year driving record (no suspensions, DUI, revocations, speeding tickets, accidents, or points).
• Pass a federal background check (no criminal history, probation, parole, or convictions in the last ten years).
• Male applicants born after 1959 must be registered with Selective Service.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment that may include insects, snakes, scorpions, dogs, and cats.
