SNELLING is currently recruiting a Bookkeeper for a medical company in the Tyler area with a pay rate of $25.00/hr it is a Part-Time In person position in a professional office setting. Schedule is Monday
- Friday 8:00 AM- 12:00 PM.

This position is responsible for supporting daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, payroll, and related administrative tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, Excel proficiency, confidentiality, and the ability to manage routine bookkeeping duties accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Follow GAAP, internal policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Support the Accountant with assigned financial tasks, including:
- Preparing journal entries, posting transactions, and reconciling general ledger activity.
- Processing payroll and verifying timesheets for accuracy.
- Preparing payroll taxes, sales and use taxes, and other required tax payments.
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Providing documentation for income tax preparation and external accounting requests.
- Maintain organized financial records and compile supporting documentation.
Work Experience:
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred, especially with AP, AR, bank reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger work.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
Education:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required.
Equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
