Our Tyler, Texas office is seeking a talented Accountant – FEIC to work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy, working with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer, verbal and written communication skills.
** Primary

Responsibilities and Duties:

*** Vendor invoice payment processing for FEIC entities
* Journal entries for periodic financial statement reporting purposes for FEIC entities
* Complying with all company, local, state, federal and CIMA accounting and financial regulations (surplus lines, sales & use tax, 1099s, etc.)
* Billings and collections for insurance deductibles and reinsurance recoveries.
* Financial statement reporting for FEIC by 45 days from each quarter end.
* Complex and large volume of reconciliations (bank accounts, insurance program bordereaux by carrier and program year, security deposits, fixed assets, etc.)
* Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data
* Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc. for multiple entities
* Maintaining accurate financial records
* Performing reconciliation audits and resolving discrepancies
* Preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
** Requirements and

Qualifications:

*** Office manager or progressive accounting responsibility experience preferred
* Great Plains, Quickbooks and AMS
360 experience preferred
* Strong organizational, excel, analytical, communication, customer service and computer skills
* Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes
* Ethical behavior
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work overtime as needed to achieve reporting deadlines
* Occasional travel may be required One
