Position

Docketing Technician (OA) – GS-5

Location

Tyler

Term

This is a term position not to exceed March 31, 2028, subject to availability of funds. It may be extended or made permanent without further advertising.

Responsibilities
  • Perform various clerical and administrative support duties.
  • Enter data into the electronic file and case‑tracking systems.
  • Sort and retrieve data to produce documents and reports.
  • Update databases and systems to record status changes in all items docketed.
  • Assist with conducting periodic file reviews.
  • Locate and correct data‑entry errors.
  • File completed documents in appropriate locations.
  • Respond to inquiries.
  • Type and format correspondence and forms; maintain filing systems.
Qualifications
  • To be qualified at the GS‑5 level: at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑4 federal service; or
  • Four years of education above high school that leads to a bachelor’s degree in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the prerequisite; or
  • Combination of education and experience equal to 100% of the requirements, where college education exceeds 60 semester hours and an additional full academic year beyond the second year is equivalent to six months of specialized experience.
  • Typing test: at least 40 words per minute on a 5‑minute sample with three or fewer errors (a typing test may later be required).
