The Facilities and Fleet Coordinator (FFC) plans, directs, evaluates, oversees, and organizes the day-to-day activities of the Fleet Department for Carter Blood Care’s (CBC) East TX facility, with moderate supervision. This position assists with the construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities and equipment by performing duties personally and/or through departmental team members or contracted services. The FFC collaborates with Facilities team members across all locations, administers team members’ goals and objectives, and oversees assigned service contracts.
This position also involves coordinating activities with other departments and outside agencies, and providing highly responsive, responsible, and complex administrative support to CBC.
This position exemplifies and champions CBC Core Values and Code of Conduct and adheres to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To support ongoing development and organizational goals, the FFC is required to attend meetings and training sessions, as assigned. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (as specified in the current Vehicle Safety Loss Control Guidelines) are required, and a Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
This position may require working varied shifts, extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime to support operational needs. The FFC is required to respond to call-ins within a reasonable time frame. Regular, full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.
Qualifications Education- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of documented Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction training
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a job-related field
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record; CDL driver, preferred
- Defensive Driving course must be completed within 90 days of employment
- Ability to communicate and supervise effectively, with the capability of handling multiple tasks
- Displays leadership and good judgment skills
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite
- Good mechanical and analytical skills;
Knowledgeable with the use of industry-related tools and equipment - Knowledge of physical plant operations
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk to hear, and taste or smell
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, hazardous materials, and vibration. Personal protective equipment is mandatory and is provided by CBC
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat;
Exposure to loud noise levels - Routine exposure to blood is not anticipated in this position; however, incidental or potential exposure may occur in certain circumstances
