We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dental Hygienist, Per Diem Dental Department, Garden City location.

• Performs other duties as assigned
• Prepares room and patient for dental hygiene treatment. Completes dental prophylaxis, performs oral cancer screening, controls pain and anxiety, and determines the outcomes of dental hygiene intervention.
• Maintains instruments for treatment and selects materials and equipment for visit according to the patient's oral needs.
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of digital radiographic system and follows standard precautions.

• Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene
• Current NYS Dental Hygiene license and Dental Hygiene Anesthesia
• Current CPR certification
• 1 - 2 years Dental Hygienist experience
• Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and organization skills
• Demonstrated competency utilizing evidence based practice to provide quality Dental Hygiene care
• Competent in obtaining dental radiographs
• Competent in working with electronic dental records (basic computer skills)

• Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $41.37 - $50.68 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
