Physician Assistant – Cardiothoracic Surgery

Level I Trauma Center | Flexible 12-Hour Shifts | ICU Rounding & Procedural Focus

Are you a skilled and experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) looking for an exciting locum tenens opportunity at a Level I Trauma Center? We are actively seeking a PA with a strong surgical and ICU background to provide critical perioperative and post-operative care for cardiac and thoracic surgery patients. This position offers a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with flexible 12-hour shifts (day and night available).

• 12-hour shifts (7 AM – 7 PM & 7 PM – 7 AM)
• Multiple shift openings available in April, May, and June (see below for specifics)
• Immediate start dates available – expedited credentialing in 5-7 days!

20-25 patients per day

• ICU rounding – Pre- and post-operative care for cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
• Ventilator management – Oversee patients as they transition off mechanical ventilation
• Surgical patient care – Manage open-heart, VATS (video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery), and lung cases as they recover post-operatively

ACLS & BLS required

Work alongside a dedicated team of cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and specialized nursing staff

Fast-track process – approval within 5-7 days!

Active TX License or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) eligibility
