- Monday – Friday schedule with beeper call at a 4 – 6 ratio
- 5 – 7 patients per shift
- Inpatient and outpatient rounding — complex GI patients
- Scheduled colonoscopies followed by inpatient consults
- Upper GI endoscopy, ERCP, PEG, EUS, and liver biopsy required
- Esophageal dilatation, manometry, and small bowel biopsy required
- Lower GI endoscopy and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management required
- Leave coverage — 7-day assignment
