Position Title: Montessori Teachers - Lower and Upper Elementary

Job Description: Montessori Teachers (Lower & Upper Elementary)

Position Summary

The Leadership Academy is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Montessori Teachers to serve Lower Elementary and/or Upper Elementary students. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, hands‑on learning, and creating a prepared environment that fosters independence, curiosity, responsibility, and academic excellence. This educator will guide students through individualized learning experiences while building a respectful and engaging classroom community.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a Montessori classroom environment that supports independence, exploration, and academic growth.
  • Deliver engaging instruction aligned with Montessori philosophy and curriculum expectations.
  • Guide students in individualized and small‑group learning experiences across core subject areas.
  • Observe student progress and maintain accurate academic and behavioral records.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture built on respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth, progress, and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and colleagues to support student success.
  • Maintain classroom materials and ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events as required.
Work Schedule

Full‑time, school calendar position.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Valid teaching certification preferred or ability to obtain certification, if required.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student growth and Montessori educational principles.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of child development and elementary learning progression.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and families.
  • Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience teaching Lower Elementary (ages 6–9) and/or Upper Elementary (ages 9–12) preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and professional demeanor.
