Join the Tyler Independent School District as a School Counselor and make a positive impact on the lives of our students. The School Counselor will provide essential counseling services, supporting students' academic, career, and personal/social development.

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, career, and personal/social development.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.
• Conduct assessments and provide interventions for students experiencing academic or behavioral challenges.
• Assist students in developing academic and career goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Coordinate and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records.

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
• Texas state licensure as a School Counselor.
• Certification from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) as a School Counselor.
• Knowledge of counseling techniques and best practices.
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

• Texas State Licensure: Must hold and maintain a valid license as a School Counselor in Texas.
• Texas Education Agency Certification: Certification as a School Counselor from the Texas Education Agency.
