As an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer based in Tyler, Texas, you will play a critical role in developing complete 2D/3D electrical and instrumentation design packages that support construction‑ready project execution.
What You'll Do- Create electrical construction drawings and prepare design deliverables for industrial projects.
- Develop power plans, one ‑ lines, hazard classification maps, grounding, lighting, cable routing, and conduit schedules.
- Produce instrumentation documents including IO lists, instrument location drawings, installation details, wiring diagrams, and loop sheets.
- Review P&IDs to ensure design alignment with project requirements and Basis of Design.
- Incorporate laser scan and survey data into 3D models to identify and resolve field interferences.
- Apply NEC, NFPA, IEC, PIP, and other industry standards throughout the design process.
- Collaborate with multi ‑ discipline engineering and design teams to produce complete E&I drawing packages.
- 5–10 years of E&I design experience in oil & gas or renewable fuels industries.
- Design/Drafting certificate or 5+ years relevant experience;
Associate degree preferred. - Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D, Elecdes, and Navisworks.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEC, and PIP standards.
- Field experience preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
