An independent industrial engineering and EPC organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and execution of industrial power systems and modular packages. This role plays a critical part in ensuring project safety, constructability, and performance across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Renewable Energy projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on multidisciplinary engineering teams and contribute to technically challenging industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop electrical engineering deliverables including single line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, calculations, cable sizing and routing, lighting layouts, and grounding/lightning protection systems
- Perform short-circuit, coordination, voltage-drop, motor-starting, arc-flash, and lighting calculations using ETAP and SKM
- Prepare and review specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions for:
- MV/LV Switchgear
- Transformers
- Motors
- UPS Systems
- VFDs
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, UL, IEC, IEEE, and API standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across projects
- Support vendor clarifications and review vendor drawings
- Assist with construction, testing, and commissioning activities
- Support project proposals and man-hour estimating
- Provide technical support to field installation teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10–20 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Industrial, or EPC environments
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and industrial electrical design
- Experience with ETAP and/or SKM
- Strong Excel and technical documentation skills
Experience with hazardous area classifications - Working knowledge of:
- Navisworks
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Project planning and time management capability
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary project environments
- Collaborative and solutions-focused mindset
