An independent industrial engineering and EPC organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and execution of industrial power systems and modular packages. This role plays a critical part in ensuring project safety, constructability, and performance across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Renewable Energy projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on multidisciplinary engineering teams and contribute to technically challenging industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical engineering deliverables including single line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, calculations, cable sizing and routing, lighting layouts, and grounding/lightning protection systems
  • Perform short-circuit, coordination, voltage-drop, motor-starting, arc-flash, and lighting calculations using ETAP and SKM
  • Prepare and review specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions for:
  • MV/LV Switchgear
  • Transformers
  • Motors
  • UPS Systems
  • VFDs
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC, UL, IEC, IEEE, and API standards
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across projects
  • Support vendor clarifications and review vendor drawings
  • Assist with construction, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Support project proposals and man-hour estimating
  • Provide technical support to field installation teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10–20 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Industrial, or EPC environments
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes and industrial electrical design
  • Experience with ETAP and/or SKM
  • Strong Excel and technical documentation skills

    Experience with hazardous area classifications
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Navisworks
  • AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Office Suite
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Project planning and time management capability
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary project environments
  • Collaborative and solutions-focused mindset
