Where is the work:
On-Site (5 days)
Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in Tyler, TX! In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.
What you will do:
* Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
* Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
* Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
* Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
* Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
* Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
* Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
* Design and develop processes for factory transformation projects and equipment implementation.
* Improve productivity, quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime reduction.
* Provide technical/subject matter expertise and guidance for the resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems.
* Serve as a resource for cause/effect investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning. Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
* This role will have a focus on productivity, projects, and reducing waste and costs.
What you will bring:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
* PFMEA experience preferred.
* Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
* AutoCAD or similar design software experience
* Aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related to equipment/processes.
* Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design
* Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.
* Growth mindset - desire to expand technical skillset.
* Results-driven to maintain accountability and customer-focus.
* Degree in Engineering or related technical disciplines preferred.
