MAIN FUNCTIONSReview and provide input on discipline engineering work completed both internally and by contractors and subcontractors to verify it meets Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Supports the efficient execution of engineering and design processes that align with team goals, objectives, and procedures. Ensures clear and timely communication within the team and across other company functions regarding engineering activities, progress, and challenges.
In addition to technical expertise, the role requires strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal capabilities.
In addition to Level 1 duties, Level 2 responsibilities include:
- Serve as the Area Engineer for operations within a designated plant section.
- Collaborate with Facilities Engineers, Site Contacts, and Lead Engineers to support the assigned operations area while building familiarity with other plant areas.
- Perform monthly Facilities Surveillance based on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the area.
- Provide operational engineering support for modifications, maintenance, and changes to plant pressure systems (including piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, tanks, etc.).
- Provide engineering support during plant shutdown activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- +5-10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry / Facilities support
- Strong understanding of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and relevant safety requirements
- Ability to work under tight timelines, manage heavy workloads, and adapt to shifting priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), particularly for technical and business communication
- Past experience supporting Unconventional Assets is preferred
- Background in Risk Management (participation in HAZOPs, PHAs, etc) is preferred
- Exposure to midstream presence like gas pipelines, well pads, and compressor stations is preferred
