# Staff AccountantTYLER, TX 75701## Overview Position Type Full Time## Description# POSITION SUMMARY The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements. # POSITION GOALS
* Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.
* Assist in resolving accounting and financial problems and/or issues.
* Organize and update financial records.
* Prepare documentation for external auditors.
* Responsible for issuance of 1099 forms at the end of the year.
* Assist Director of Finance with grant management and compliance.
* Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
* Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
* Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
* Support month-end and year-end close process.
* Perform additional duties as requested by the Chief Financial Officer and/or /Director of Finance.
* Make daily deposits and maintain petty cash.
* Responsible for paying bills and keeping files on billing.
* Assist in the preparation for and execution of the annual financial audit.# WORKING CONDITIONSThis position works in an office environment and requires sitting at a computer for prolonged periods of time.
