As the Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will provide occupational therapy to patients in their homes to restore them to their fullest physical ability.
Primary Responsibilities- Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, following the treatment plan only as defined by the supervising OT.
- Follow the plan of care, instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to the state laws governing occupational therapy assistants.
- Observe, record, and report to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition.
- Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently.
- Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
Annual total cash target pay: $49,500 - $109,300
$26.19 - $57.92 per visit point
$21.83 - $48.27 hourly rate
