Job Details / Responsibilities
  • Perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and demonstration for patients according to established plans of care
  • Assist the supervising Physical Therapist during patient evaluations, testing, and complex procedures
  • Carry out programs of corrective exercise, therapeutic activities, manual therapy, and modalities to improve patient mobility and function
  • Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions accurately, and communicate changes to the supervising therapist
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and self-management strategies
  • Maintain equipment, ensure a clean and safe treatment environment, and comply with all regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated, high-quality patient care
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement and continuing education activities
Qualifications
  • Active Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) license in Texas required
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current BLS certification required
  • New graduates welcome; 1+ years of experience preferred (inpatient or outpatient)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work full-time schedule with potential varied shifts or weekends as needed
