Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care Hospital

Tyler, Texas
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,974.52

Schedule:

Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | 40 Hours Guaranteed

Position Overview

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care hospital in Tyler, TX.

The Physical Therapist will provide inpatient rehabilitation services to patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. This role focuses on improving mobility, restoring function, and supporting patient recovery through individualized, evidence-based therapy interventions.

The therapist will work closely with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient evaluations and functional mobility assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility interventions
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation (Epic)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
  • Active Texas Physical Therapist License
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
  • Strong clinical and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Previous travel experience
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR
Scheduling & Assignment Details

40 hours guaranteed per week
Monday – Friday schedule

Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
No specific weekend requirement mentioned

  • Candidates must not reside in restricted counties
    , including:
    Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
  • Travel experience preferred but not required
  • Strong adaptability required for acute care environment
  • Modules are completed onsite and are non-billable
