Job Details

Are you passionate about improving the lives of patients through physical therapy? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Physical Therapist to join our team in the outpatient setting. This position offers a chance to work in a diverse and dynamic healthcare environment, providing services to patients with a variety of conditions and therapeutic needs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy, functional training, ADL retraining, gait training, patient & family education, home exercise program (HEP) design, and equipment recommendation & fitting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to determine their physical condition, limitations, medical history, and personal goals.
  • Design individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy, and functional training.
  • Provide ADL retraining and gait training to help patients regain or improve their physical abilities.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment plans, fostering a collaborative relationship to enhance patient care.
  • Develop and implement home exercise programs (HEP) that are safe, effective, and tailored to each patient's unique needs and capabilities.
  • Recommend and fit necessary therapeutic equipment, ensuring patient comfort and functionality.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in physical therapy, incorporating new techniques and technologies into patient treatment as appropriate.
  • Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Proficiency in therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy, functional training, ADL retraining, gait training, patient & family education, home exercise program (HEP) design, and equipment recommendation & fitting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the changing needs of patients.
  • A compassionate and patient-centered approach, with a commitment to providing the highest level of care to every patient.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of patients effectively.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in physical therapy.
