Join Family Circle of Care as We Expand Behavioral Health Services in East Texas!
Family Circle of Care is excited to expand our services into Palestine, Texas with the opening of our newest clinic! We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our Behavioral Health team.
This position will be based at our new Palestine clinic and will provide in-person behavioral health services to patients in the Palestine community, while also providing remote/telehealth counseling services to patients served by our Athens clinic.
This is a great opportunity for a behavioral health professional who enjoys working as part of an integrated healthcare team and wants to help expand access to mental health services in rural and underserved East Texas communities.
What You'll DoThe LCSW/LPC will provide individual and family counseling to children, adolescents and/or adults in an integrated care setting, working closely with medical providers and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide assessment, counseling, treatment planning, and ongoing behavioral health services.
- Provide both in-person counseling at the Palestine clinic and telehealth counseling for Athens patients.
- Utilize a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach that empowers patients and their natural support systems.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Recognize and address social, emotional, and environmental factors that may affect a patient's overall health and well-being.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
- Connect patients and families with appropriate community resources and services when needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable state and federal requirements.
- Provide compassionate, culturally responsive care to patients who may experience healthcare disparities, chronic health conditions, poverty, trauma, or other barriers to care.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current Texas LCSW or LPC license required.
- Two or more years of outpatient, community health center, or counseling/therapy experience preferred.
- Experience providing behavioral health services through telehealth preferred.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and/or families preferred.
- Knowledge of mandatory reporting requirements related to abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Experience with electronic health records preferred; EPIC experience is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
