The Landscape Maintenance Account Manager is responsible for overseeing assigned maintenance properties to ensure exceptional service delivery, strong client relationships, and consistent operational performance. This role combines horticultural expertise, operational coordination, estimating, and client communication to drive quality, efficiency, and profitability.
The position requires both office and field engagement. Administrative responsibilities include scheduling, estimating enhancements, budget management, and client correspondence, while field responsibilities focus on directing crews, quality control, and ensuring seasonal landscape programs are executed effectively.
This is a dynamic, relationship-driven role within a collaborative team environment that values professional development and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Client & Contract Management- Oversee annual client contracts and budgets with regular reporting and performance reviews
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding services, scheduling, concerns, solutions, and invoicing
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication
- Identify opportunities to improve property aesthetics and functionality
- Develop and present enhancement recommendations and detailed estimates
- Coordinate materials and resources required for approved enhancement work
- Develop and manage seasonal maintenance schedules and service sequences
- Lead daily crew meetings to communicate expectations, priorities, and quality standards
- Provide on-site leadership to ensure proper execution, productivity, and craftsmanship
- Conduct routine property inspections to confirm work meets company and client standards
- Oversee work ticket management and ensure timely completion of services
- Facilitate ongoing crew training to strengthen horticultural knowledge, technical skills, and team culture
- Promote accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within field teams
- Minimum of 3 years of landscape maintenance management or related industry experience
- Working knowledge of horticultural best practices, regional plant material, irrigation systems, and seasonal landscape care
- Understanding of landscape service sequencing, scheduling, and material planning
- Strong commitment to quality workmanship and exceptional customer service
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with technology and the ability to quickly learn new software platforms
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
