Senior Area Director

Caregiver is seeking a dynamic Senior Area Director to provide hands‑on leadership and oversight across assigned programs, including group homes, host homes, and day programs. This field‑based role requires regular travel within the market to ensure safe, compliant, and high‑quality services for the individuals we support.

Reporting to the Regional Vice President, the Senior Area Director leads regional initiatives, supports census growth, and mentors Area Directors—while maintaining a reduced caseload to focus on strategic leadership and operational excellence.

• Provide on‑site leadership to ensure quality care, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Supervise and coach Day Program Managers and field leaders
• Conduct routine site visits to maintain survey readiness and life safety standards
• Oversee person‑centered planning (IPP/PDP) and ensure services align with individual goals
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and workforce management
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to drive census growth, retention, and seamless client onboarding
• Participate in audits/surveys and implement plans of correction as needed
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and person‑centered care

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in IDD or related services
• Experience with person‑centered planning and regulatory compliance
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel regularly within assigned markets
