Role Description
With the Construction Manager’s guidance and supervision, the Project Manager is ultimately accountable for the success of Traylor Industrial projects in terms of project fee. The Project Manager provides overall administrative and technical expertise and support on the assigned project, implements and ensures safe project execution to Traylor Industrial’s standards, and supports cost, schedule, and contractual requirements to ensure financial success of the project.
The Project Manager is responsible for the project’s performance, providing leadership, coordinating all activities on the project site, placing emphasis on high return activities, and reporting proactively to the Construction Manager.
- Safety Responsibilities – Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Project Specific HSE Plan; hold the Project Team accountable for the implementation of the Traylor Industrial HSE Plan; work closely with site safety management to ensure adequate safety personnel; actively implement the safety program and participate in audits, job walks, and incident reviews as required by Traylor Industrial Policies and Guidelines.
- Quality Responsibilities – Ensure that the Traylor Industrial quality program is implemented and maintained through the life‑cycle of the project; participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Site Specific Quality Plan; monitor and control quality requirements outlined in the Corporate Quality Manual and Quality Standard Operating Procedures; identify quality requirements and implement proper processes; assess customer perception of quality on a regular basis.
- Personnel Responsibilities – Ensure project employees understand the vision and goals; create an environment of consistent behavior–consequence relationships with positive reinforcement; communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations; publish a current project organization chart; provide documentation of ongoing claims, EEOC cases, and terminations.
- Project Responsibilities – Deliver expected results for financial, safety, quality, schedule performance and client satisfaction; ensure execution complies with Traylor Industrial policies, procedures, systems, and project specific requirements; control contractual commitments and ensure work is performed according to specifications, drawings, and terms of the contract; lead, manage, and coordinate activities of all project staff; abide by code of conduct and business ethics;
serve as senior prime point of contact with the client; enforce contractual responsibilities and resolve disputes; document client communications; keep client and Traylor Industrial informed of status; ensure timely progress payment requests; conduct periodic project and client meetings; define scope of work and…
