Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 1 to join the team at UT Health North Campus Tyler
, a 174-bed acute care and behavioral health hospital located on the UT Tyler Health Science Center campus in Tyler, Texas. This 2nd-shift leadership role is responsible for managing daily environmental services operations and leading a team of 27 frontline employees. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure high standards of cleanliness and regulatory compliance, and foster a safe, positive patient and staff experience.
You’ll Do
- be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores;
- provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department;
- work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director;
- effectively manage the Unit Operating System;
- support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

What You Bring- experience leading and managing a housekeeping team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system;
- experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment is preferred;
- possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion;
- in-depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures;
- experience with vendor and contract management;
- 3-5 years previous custodial / housekeeping or similar management experience in a hospital; healthcare experience preferred but not required;
- strong financial acumen and budget management experience;
- proficiency with computers and other technology;
- able to work a 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm) schedule. As a manager, occasional weekends are possible, however this position is generally Monday
- Friday.
