Toolmaker B PositionTrane Technologies is seeking a Toolmaker B in our Tyler, Texas location.
Shift & Pay
- 2nd and 3rd shift, with overtime
- Hourly pay: $33.03/hour, plus a $1.00/hour shift differential
This is a full‑time, direct‑hire position with Trane Technologies (not a temp position).

As a Toolmaker, you will develop, make, modify, and repair complex tools such as jibs, fixtures, and a variety of combination and progressive dies for piercing, blanking, and drawing. Tasks may be modified based on job requirements and business needs.
- Make complex set‑ups on a variety of tool‑room machinery
- Exercise extreme accuracy and skill working from drawings, sketches, and blueprints
- Sketch modifications made to parts for print updating
Graduate apprentice or minimum six (6) years documented equivalent experience with varied equipment, plus one year practical related experience or two years of tool‑room experience with Trane as a TR25 Toolmaker “C”. Must demonstrate skill in shop math, including trigonometry, and ability to make complex setups on a variety of tool‑room machinery. Performance is assessed at six‑month intervals via formal appraisal by the production leader or apprenticeship coordinator.
Must commit to completing the following technical college courses from an accredited institution over two years:
- Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- Numerical Control (NC)
Alternatively, a graduate of a two‑year formal technical program in precision machining technology or equivalent must have completed coursework in:
- Basic Math
- Trigonometry
- Basic Welding
- Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- Numeric Control (NC)
- Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
Hourly pay: $33.03/hour, plus $1.00/hour shift differential. This role is not incentive or commission eligible.
