Overview
This position is responsible for the pulling/picking and loading of all outbound shipments and unloading/movement of all inbound deliveries to the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities- Operates a propane sit-down forklift.
- Sort shipments by destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
- Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials.
- Move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
- Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
- Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label.
- Material handling of all products.
- Follow shipping work orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Highly motivated with good work ethics.
- Demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
- Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers.
- Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
- Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
- Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving.
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions.
Occasionally, Frequently, and Continuously listed by activity. The role involves lifting and carrying tasks as specified below:
- 1-10 LBS
- 11-20 LBS
- 21-40 LBS
- 41-50 LBS
- 51+ LBS
- Pushing or pulling: 1-40 LBS; 41-50 LBS; 51+ LBS
- Bending or stooping, reaching above shoulder level, driving automatic equipment vehicles, operating machinery or power tools
- Walking, standing, sitting, working in extreme temperatures
- Repetitive motion (wrists, hands, and/or fingers), vision, hearing, dexterity, hand-eye coordination
This role is performed onsite at the facility located at 10551 Pac Rd, Tyler, TX 75707.
Compensation- Hourly rate: 21.32 USD
