Travel RN – Step-Down Unit (Night Shift)

Location: Tyler 75708
Shift: Night | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
Contract Type: Travel Assignment

We are seeking an experienced Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN) for a night-shift travel assignment. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to moderately acute patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments.

• Unit Type: Step-Down / Progressive Care

• Number of Beds: 22

• Patient Ratio: Up to 1:6

• Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred

• Travel Experience: Required

• Certifications (Required):

  • BLS

  • ACLS

  • NIHSS

  • SAMA*

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to step-down level patients

• Perform ongoing assessments, monitoring, and documentation

• Administer medications and manage IV therapies

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards

• University of Texas does not contract travelers residing in the following counties:
