Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active TX or compact RN license, with night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg unit (3 South) consisting of 19 private rooms

• Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatric patients, including medical, surgical, neurology, and neurosurgical diagnoses

• Unit is equipped with telemetry and oximetry monitoring

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6

• Floating is required

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required

• Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required

• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler

• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted

• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation

• First-time travelers should check position details for eligibility
