Get to Know Your Team:
- UT Health East Texas Physicians has 90 primary and specialty care clinics and eight urgent care centers in communities across the region. Affiliated with The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, we provide top-tier education, innovative research, and residency programs training future medical leaders.
- The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
- The Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse assists the Cardiologist with procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- This includes both Cardiovascular studies/interventions as well as Special Procedure studies/ interventions.
- The patient population contains adults, and geriatric patients. Ionizing Radiation is utilized to perform these studies as well as other imaging modalities.
- On-Call is required and the employee must be able to respond and arrive in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes.
- The Registered nurse is responsible for direct patient care during the procedure.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of Associates Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor/Master of Science in Nursing
- Must maintain current Texas RN License
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- ACLS
Preferred
Job Requirements:
- Should possess basic computing knowledge and skills. One-year critical care or cardiac catheterization laboratory experience
