Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Orthopedics

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Orthopedics (Ortho/Trauma & Total Joint) position requiring BLS certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience, working night shifts on a 13‑week travel contract in Tyler, TX.

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Inpatient orthopedic unit in a hospital setting with 36 beds
• Ortho trauma and total joint replacement patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12‑hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Charting performed in Epic (experience preferred)
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted for this position
• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible:
  Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto‑approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
