American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of experience, with night shifts in a 36-bed unit.

• Hospital telemetry unit with 36 beds
• Patient population includes cardiac telemetry, stroke/CVA, neurological, gastrointestinal, and post-surgical cases
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Floating required to units of equal acuity
• Epic EMR required
• 13-week contract

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required skills include IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access and management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), oxygen administration, tracheostomy care, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, cardiac drip management (no titration), PCA management, telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition and management, isolation precautions/PPE, wound care/wound vac, pre/post hemodialysis management, and renal failure management
• Preferred skills include ABG interpretation, CVA care, HFNC, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery, and surgical drain management
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible:
  Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• RTO must be disclosed at the time of submission; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation, and no more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
• First-time travelers should check position details for eligibility
