American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.

• Hospital telemetry unit with 36 beds
• Patient population includes cardiac telemetry, med/surg tele, CVA, spinal cord injury, and GI cases
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Epic EMR required
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Floating required to units of equal acuity
• 13-week contract

• Active TX or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in IV therapy/phlebotomy, accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, peripheral line care, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Proficiency in BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), oxygen administration, tracheostomy care, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, cardiac drip management (no titration), PCA, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and remote telemetry monitoring
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible:
  Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
• Onboarding modules are completed onsite during orientation
