Job Description

Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is committed to collecting high‑quality plasma to develop life‑changing medicines. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) will support day‑to‑day operations of a plasma collection center under guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician. The role includes evaluating donor eligibility, overseeing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory results, notifying donors of unsuitable test results, and providing medical support as required.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable donor findings or medical/technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER for further evaluation.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalency of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified as Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

U.S. hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44. Actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, certifications, and location.
