Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care Night Shift Schedule
This position requires working 3 twelve-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
Job DescriptionThe cardiac care unit serves a diverse patient population aged from young adults to geriatrics, prioritizing admissions for patients requiring medical cardiac care and recovering from procedures such as cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implantation. The unit also accommodates hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.
Responsibilities- Administer medications and manage cardiac telemetry.
- Provide post‑operative care and management for cardiac interventions.
- Monitor patients and interpret dysrhythmias.
- Manage IV lines, including starting and maintaining IVs.
- Perform wound care and ensure patient safety precautions are met.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support staff including physical therapy and pharmacy.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience preferred.
- Travel experience is preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
- Must hold an active and unencumbered RN license.
