Telemetry Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse in Telemetry provides specialized nursing care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. They assess, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for telemetry patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to clinical changes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and execute individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress, vital signs, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Administer medications and treatments following hospital protocols and patient needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active registered nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or cardiac care units.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Strong ability to monitor telemetry equipment and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work a 3,12-hour day shift schedule.
