American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and Epic charting proficiency.

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patient population
• Handles shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2-3 years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Skilled in triage and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

• Provide emergency care across a broad range of conditions including pediatric emergencies, trauma, respiratory infections, and behavioral health conditions
• Skilled in ortho trauma, CVA, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury management preferred
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients preferred
• Familiarity with procedural sedation administration and monitoring preferred
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested RTO must be identified prior to consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
