Looking for a Med/Surg Tele RN travel assignment in Tyler, Texas
? Bring your acute care experience to a dynamic 36-bed adult and geriatric unit in East Texas and make a meaningful impact on patient care while working consistent night shifts. Tyler offers a welcoming East Texas atmosphere with tree-lined neighborhoods, a friendly community feel, and easy access to local parks and outdoor recreation.

    - Med/Surg Telemetry
  • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
  • Location: Tyler, Texas
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,630
  • Start Date: 08/24/2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Unit Size: 36 beds
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Float Requirement: Yes, to units of equal acuity
Job Requirements
  • 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience preferred
  • Active RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced adult and geriatric acute care setting
  • Willingness to float to units of equal acuity as needed
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality bedside care for adult and geriatric Med/Surg Telemetry patients
  • Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support patient treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other support services
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
  • Safely manage a 1:6 patient ratio while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Float to comparable units when needed and adapt to changing patient needs
