ICU Nurse, Neurology RN/ Neuroscience Nurse
Neuro ICU Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
3x12 hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
The Neuro ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care for patients in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will be responsible for managing critically ill patients with neurological conditions, requiring a high level of expertise and attention to detail.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and manage the care of ventilated patients.
Perform patient assessments and establish nursing diagnoses.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and charting in Epic.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans and procedures.
Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience preferred.
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
State or Compact RN license in hand at the time of application.
Travel experience preferred.
Previous charge experience is a plus.
Blood product administration.
Central line care and management.
Management of acute stroke and CVA patients.
Monitoring and management of ICP and EVDs.
Post-operative care for craniotomies and other neurosurgical procedures.
