Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room setting to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes. Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver efficient, high-quality perioperative services.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures with sterile techniques and instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, procedures, and postoperative care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.
• Educate patients and their families regarding perioperative care and post-surgical instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least 2 years of perioperative or operating room nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in surgical procedures, sterile technique, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
• Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is a plus.
