Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit
This is a 13-week contract position.
Day shift: 3x12 hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00).
The Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in providing care to a diverse patient population across a range of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in charting systems, specifically Epic, and possess relevant certifications for effective patient management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide care for patients within a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, interpreting telemetry data.
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit.
- Active RN license required.
- Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale). - Experience with Epic charting system is required.
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
