Job Overview

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN Labor and Delivery for a 13‑week contract in Tyler, Texas, starting 06/01/2026. The role requires night shifts (3x12 hrs, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM) with 36 hours per week.

• Labor & Delivery unit in an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12‑hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• 13‑week contract

• Active Texas or Compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced)
• Minimum 1–2 years of L&D RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• 2 recent professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

• Candidates residing in specified counties are not eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved, and no RTO during the first week of orientation
