DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a Trauma Level I hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 36 hours per week
- Epic charting system preferred
- Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CNOR certification preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in CVOR procedures including CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, TAVR, IABP, and VAD (LVAD/RVAD)
- Experience with thoracic procedures including thoracotomy and VATS preferred
- Skilled in administration of blood and blood products, radiation safety, specimen handling, peripheral IV starts, universal protocol time-outs, and urinary catheterization
- First-time travelers with 2+ years of experience will be considered
- Not eligible for candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
- Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
