  • UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Responsibilities
  • The Clinical Coordinator directs the staff members assigned to the unit, supports and interprets the mission of the hospital, and promotes harmonious relationships among nursing personnel, medical staff, ancillary departments, patients, and families.
  • The Clinical Coordinator provides for the delivery of care to a specific group of patients and evaluates the quality of that care in a systematic fashion to improve care.
  • The care is delivered within the framework of the hospital's philosophy and approved budget, and in concert with other departments and services within and outside the hospital.
  • The Clinical Coordinator must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in their unit.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of an associate’s degree, diploma, or Bachelor/Master of Science of Nursing or a graduate of an American Medical Association-approved radiology program
  • Active RN license issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or an ARRT and Texas Department of Health license
  • 3+ years of experience in direct patient care in a relevant department
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
