American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring prior travel experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Telemetry unit of a 36-bed hospital environment
- Cardiac telemetry patient population with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Epic charting system used
- Floating required to units of equal acuity
- Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and cardiac drip management
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and oxygen administration required
- Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias required
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care required
- Provide telemetry nursing care including remote cardiac monitoring and rapid response coordination
- Manage patients with cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and renal conditions
- Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
- Not accepted from candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
- Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
