American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma ICU position requiring Epic charting experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details- Level I Trauma ICU setting with 14 rooms and 16 beds
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
- Float required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed
- Utilizes Epic charting system
- Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Level I or Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Skilled in respiratory/thoracic care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients, with ventilator management preferred
- Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care/management
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs
- Neurological skills including ICP monitoring preferred
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Provide critical care nursing to trauma ICU patients in a Level I Trauma facility
- Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not eligible
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
- Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- All requested RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none allowed during the first week of orientation
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
