Seeking a Production Scientist to support the manufacturing and quality control (QC) of molecular biology reagents. This is a hands‑on laboratory role combining biotech production, PCR reagent manufacturing, and QC testing in a quality‑focused environment. The ideal candidate has strong molecular biology fundamentals, excellent documentation skills, and experience working under SOP‑driven processes.
Key Responsibilities Production & Manufacturing- Manufacture PCR and molecular biology reagents following SOPs, completing batch records, and quality system requirements
- Perform reagent formulation, mixing, aliquoting, and filling
- Support scale‑up and transfer of new formulations into routine production
- Troubleshoot production issues and assist with process optimization to improve efficiency and quality
- Maintain accurate production documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with quality objectives
- Perform QC testing on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products
- Execute analytical testing including qPCR, spectrophotometry, and electrophoresis
- Review and document test results against established product specifications
- Assist with investigations of out‑of‑specification (OOS) or atypical results
- Follow GMP, ISO, and internal quality system requirements
- Complete batch records, test reports, deviations, and CAPA documentation
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Collaborate with Production, QA/QC, and R&D teams to ensure consistent product quality
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and QC workflows
- Support QC method development and optimization as needed
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in molecular biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field
- Experience in biotech manufacturing, reagent production, or quality control preferred
- Hands‑on experience with PCR/qPCR and molecular biology techniques
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and data analysis ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced laboratory environment
