Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day quality operations within a high‑volume production environment. This role oversees a team of Quality Technicians and ensures product and process conformity through strong quality engineering practices, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers high visibility and regular interaction with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities Quality Leadership & Team Development- Provide daily direction, training, and performance feedback.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Quality Technicians across multiple shifts.
- Ensure consistent execution of inspection and quality processes on the production floor.
- Ensure compliance with internal specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.
- Lead root‑cause and corrective‑action investigations for internal defects and customer issues.
- Review and approve inspection plans, control plans, work instructions, and deviation requests.
- Support APQP activities including PFMEA reviews, control plan development, and process validation.
- Support internal and external audits; ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Track and analyze key quality metrics such as PPM, scrap, rework, COPQ, and customer returns.
- Maintain and improve the organization's Quality Management System (ISO 9001 environment)
- Communicate risks, trends, and improvement opportunities to leadership.
- Provide quality support for new product introductions, supplier concerns, and process changes.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to resolve quality issues.
- 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- 3+ years of experience supervising or leading quality technicians or inspection teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of SPC, PFMEA/FMEA, control plans, 5‑Why, DMAIC, and corrective‑action processes.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
- Experience interfacing directly with customers on quality‑related issues.
- Experience in discrete manufacturing environments (e.g., metal fabrication, mechanical assemblies, industrial components)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Approximately 80% of time spent on the production floor.
- Comfortable using precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to inspect parts and observe manufacturing processes.
