6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 45‑minute lunch.
The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician supports the QA Supervisor in managing and enforcing the plant’s food safety and quality systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to company standards. The technician monitors HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and other QA programs, performs product specifications monitoring, detailed documentation, real‑time corrective actions, and communicates across all levels of production to maintain product quality and safety.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications (Required):
- Working knowledge of food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs.
- Intermediate computer proficiency (data entry, basic spreadsheets, document management).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to address quality issues respectfully.
- Excellent attendance.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in food processing or manufacturing environment.
- Prior QA Technician or QA Lead Technician role.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (USDA, FDA, third‑party audits).
- Strong focus, time management, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Enforce plant-wide food safety and quality systems.
- Conduct real‑time corrective actions and document findings.
- Coordinate with production and sanitation teams to maintain product quality.
The QA Technician works primarily on the production floor, including cold temperature zones (40 °F–45 °F), exposed to food‑related odors, dust, and seasoning particles. The role requires frequent interaction with machinery and sanitation teams and entails a fast‑paced environment. Proper PPE is required at all times.
Physical DemandsRegular standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lb. Tasks involve hand use, arm reaching, verbal communication, detailed paperwork, and inspections requiring focus, precision, and vision.
